Muted green cabinetry, a plastered range hood and marble surfaces, in a kitchen that leans traditional without feeling dated.

The curved hood is the anchor. Wrapped in marble to match the counters and backsplash, it draws the eye to the range wall and lets the rest of the cabinetry stay quiet.

Sage green was chosen over white to give the room warmth without committing to a dark color. Glass-fronted uppers with interior lighting lift the top of the run, and the tall cabinetry either side of the refrigerator conceals a full pantry.

The island repeats the cabinetry color rather than contrasting with it, which keeps a busy room feeling calm.
